Canadiens vs. Flyers third period thread

Jeff Petry tied it 2:30 into the second period on a wrist shot inside the faceoff circle while Devante Smith-Pelly provided the screen.

The Habs had difficulty building off the tying goal, getting only four shot attempts in the next ten minutes, while the Flyers had fourteen.

With five minutes left in the second period, Tomas Fleischmann was sent off for high-sticking, granting the Flyers their fourth powerplay of the game.  The Flyers didn't convert, and would then go to the box themselves with Tomas Fleischmann redeeming himself and drawing a penalty on Matt Read. The Habs couldn't make use of the powerplay to give themselves a lead heading into the third period.

By the end of the second period, the Habs trailed 55-38 in shot attempts, and had allowed 29 shot attempts while only producing 10 in the past twenty minutes played.

But it's all even at two heading into the third period, with two valuable points on the line... anything can happen.
