The Canadiens may be interested in what they could get in return for Lars Eller, and other teams are likely to be interested, but there is another player that is drawing attention as well. Apparently several teams have called to inquire about the availability of Alexei Emelin.
LeBrun: "There are a few teams that have called on Emelin." Has full no-move, so moot unless he wants out. "I don't think he does." #Habs

Emelin's contract is widely thought to be the worst of Marc Bergevin's tenure, and to get out from under it would be a move that most fans would support. Considering that Mark Barberio appears more than ready to step in and take his minutes, it wouldn't leave a major gap in the lineup either.
The caveat to any discussion involving an Emelin trade is of course that he has a no movement clause, so he would have to approve any trade. As suggested by LeBrun, it seems unlikely that he would do that, so it could be a pointless discussion.
In any case, if teams are interested him, he's another name to watch as we approach the deadline.
