Canadiens vs. Coyotes Game Thread, roster, lines, and how to watch

The Habs are in Arizona, seeking a critical two points.

Jean-Yves Ahern-USA TODAY Sports

Six points out of a playoff spot, with one more game played, the Canadiens are going to need to scavenge what remains of the 2015-16 season in order to break their way into the playoffs. If the cut off point is 94 points to make the playoffs, the Habs will need to win 18 of their remaining 26 games.

Go Habs go.

With no news on Carey Price, and the starting job between the pipes continuously passing back and forth between Ben Scrivens and Mike Condon, relying on the Canadiens to deliver a pristine eighteen wins or more over the next twenty-six games is a very tall order.

But, they still think they can deliver.

Tonight the Habs are out west in Glendale, hoping to bounce back after a tough loss Buffalo on Friday. With a couple days off over the weekend, hopefully the sting of the 6-4 loss has worn off and the Canadiens can get back to putting points up on the board.

The Coyotes are in their own race for a playoff spot. Five points out with games at hand, the Coyotes are definitely in the thick of it in the Western Conference playoff race. Former Hab Jarred Tinordi is projected to play tonight. Tinordi last suited up February 5 in what was his fourth game as a member of the Coyotes.

The Habs still dangle by a thread in the Eastern playoff race, with the results of this road trip - now in its second game of three - perhaps having bearing on whether the Canadiens will be sellers leading up to the February 29th trade deadline.

Lineup Notes: Mike Condon gets the start after Ben Scrivens allowed three goals on eight shots in Buffalo; Jacob de la Rose will be in for Devante Smith-Pelly who will be a healthy scratch for tonight's game; Nathan Beaulieu is back after missing one game with a lower body injury, and will take Mark Barberio's place in the lineup.

The puck drops at 9:00 PM EST.
