Late in the game on Friday night between the Montreal Canadiens and San Jose Sharks, the stick of Logan Couture got up under the visor of Alexander Radulov, and the Canadiens’ winger had to leave the game, bleeding profusely as he was guided off the ice.

Very fortunately, after the game, it was announced the stick had missed his eye, but just barely. He required several stitches just under his eyebrow to seal the gash that resulted on the play.
Radulov a été très chanceux. La bâton de Couture l'a atteint sous le sourcil droit. Quelques points de suture.#ch #habs

It’s not known how the injury will affect Radulov’s ability to play, and he may have to miss the next match on Sunday afternoon, but that is a much more favourable outcome than what could have been the case.
