The Habs look to keep their strong play going against the very hot Minnesota Wild

NHL: Minnesota Wild at Montreal Canadiens Jean-Yves Ahern-USA TODAY Sports

After a dominant performance on Tuesday night against the Anaheim Ducks, the Canadiens are back in action against the very hot Minnesota Wild.

The Wild have won eight straight games heading into tonight, and will be starting Devan Dubnyk. The former (albeit briefly) Canadiens property has had a resurgence in Minnesota and has numbers (1.55 GAA, .948 sv%) that are even more impressive than Carey Price (1.87 GAA, .936 sv%).

Offensively for Minnesota, Eric Staal is also having a resurgence this year. The former Carolina Hurricane and New York Ranger has 10 goals and 15 assists in 31 games to lead the team in scoring.

For the Canadiens, Price will get the start. Alexei Emelin is uncertain for this one as his wife is expected to give birth to the couple’s third child. The team recalled Joel Hanley in case Emelin is not able to play.

This is a good test for the Canadiens, and it’s always nice to see Bruce Boudreau back at the Bell Centre.
