The NHL announced its stars of the month of October, naming Habs defenceman Shea Weber as the second second star. Connor McDavid earned the top honours, whereas Jonathan Marchessault took home the third star.

With 10 points in 9 games (4G, 6A) and a three game-winning goals, Weber adds to his excellent debut with the Habs with this honour, after winning October’s Molson Cup, and registering a personal best in points to begin a season.

Weber was also named as the NHL’s third star of the week.

Thanks to Weber, Kirk Muller, and some other newcomers, the Canadiens are off to a great start this year, which is definitely cause for cautious optimism.
