Daniel Carr out three months with a knee injury

It seems that there is no such thing as good news for the Canadiens these days, as rookie standout Daniel Carr will be out for a while.

When Daniel Carr went awkwardly into the end boards last night against the Blue Jackets, it was clear that the Canadiens rookie had suffered a lower-body injury of some sort.

Tonight, we got a little bit more information on his situation, as it has been reported that he will miss three months with a knee injury.

Carr was one of the few Habs forwards putting the puck in the opposing net with some consistency during his time with the team, so this is a big blow. While he won't need surgery, the Canadiens are quickly falling out of playoff contention, so he may not see another game in a Habs uniform this year.

Considering how bad things are going right now, it's pretty much par for the course, as the Canadiens are having as much trouble buying some injury luck as they are buying wins and points.

This is quickly turning into a comedic tragedy of a season for the Montreal Canadiens.
