Canadiens vs Blue Jackets Top Six Minutes: Down for the Count

For our new readers and members, the Top Six Minutes is a continuation of the discussion in the game thread. We try to keep it light and entertaining. Full recaps are up the morning after every game.

Eric Bolte-USA TODAY Sports

I am undefeated writing Top Six Minutes, so I am just what Montreal needs right now. Lets go!

First Period
  • Okay we are off!
  • If they changed lines, couldn't we at least have gotten the EGG line?
  • That could have been Smith-Pelly's best shot since the playoff goal!
  • I feel like Subban wants to play the whole 60 min tonight.
  • I don't know what Therrien blenders most, the lines or the power play tactics.
  • How long was that power play for Columbus? 2 seconds?
  • That would have been the only way we could have scored, an actual own goal.
  • PowerKill(TM) - rinse and repeat.
  • You'd think that when the other team has a good power play, the coach would just say : "Look out there, now do just something like that!"
  • Just putting this out there: My love life is more promising than the Canadiens power play / game / season and that should say it all...
Second Period
  • News about Carr isn't good at all, out three months.
  • We defended a penalty kill. Woohoo, I'll take any win right now.
  • Smith-Pelly! Great play form the whole line actually.
  • GOOD GOAL!!!
  • Ladies and Gentlemen, we have us a game again, well maybe anyway...
  • Pacioretty downed by Subban's shot, this season is really falling apart.
  • And then 3-1 Jackets...
  • Booing Subban is just wrong on so many levels.
  • Why don't we just ask for the face off in our zone on the power play? it would save is five seconds of skating.
  • Some good play here, results - NONE!
Third Period

I am not undefeated doing TSM anymore. I blame Subban.

EOTP 3 Stars
