2016 World Cup of Hockey Final: Canada vs. Europe — Game Two thread, schedule, lines, and how to watch
Canada has a chance to claim the trophy tonight. Team Europe has other ideas.
Team Canada remains unbeaten through its first five games of the tournament, but their first game of the best-of three final was their toughest so far in the 2016 World Cup of Hockey.

Team Europe was the better team for a large portion of Tuesday’s game, and probably deserved a much better fate than the 3-1 defeat they were dealt. Despite outshooting the Canadians in the first period, they were down 2-0 early. The game could have turned out very differently had the score followed the run of play.
Even though they didn’t exactly deserve the win, Canada still has one of the two victories it needs to capture the trophy, and can claim another international title with a concerted, complete effort tonight.
If Europe felt it was a daunting task to beat Canada heading into the tournament, their road to a tournament win got even tougher, with the team needing to beat Team Canada two games in a row to spoil Canada’s chances of winning on home soil. After their effort in Game One, the will believe that’s not an impossible occurrence, but it will be exceedingly difficult.
A victory for Canada in Game Two will be another case of the team going undefeated through an international event on the way to a championship. If Europe can come away with the win, it sets up a very interesting showdown on Saturday night.
The puck drops at 8:00 PM EDT, at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario.
