Full results of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft Lotteries
Fourteen teams had a chance to claim the first-overall selection in the 2016 Draft. Here are the final results.
For the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, the top fourteen teams were entered into three separate draws for the first-, second-, and third-overall positions, with the worst finisher from the regular season having the best odds of claiming the number-one pick.
The first lottery was won by that 30th-overall club, the Toronto Maple Leafs, who will now very likely take Auston Matthews first overall on June 24.
The Winnipeg Jets made a big jump with a win, using their 7.8% odds to win the lottery for the second-overall pick, jumping up four spots.
The Columbus Blue Jackets were the final winner, advancing from fifth to third with a win in the last of three lotteries, for the third-overall pick.

It is also known that the Minnesota Wild will select 15th, while the Detroit Red Wings will go to the podium in Buffalo to make the 16th-overall selection. Further positions will be known as teams are eliminated after the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
