Canadiens vs. Senators: Game Six — Thread, lines, & tale of the tape

Win.

"Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we oft might win, by fearing to attempt."

The world's pre-eminent dramatist, William Shakespeare, wrote these words 400 years ago, long before the Habs were shutout in game 4, and slightly longer before they were dismantled in game 5. He may have been looking into the future at a dejected Montreal Canadiens team on a Friday night in April 2015. The Canadiens were given many good reasons to doubt themselves after turning in a 5-1 losing performance on Friday night. Now, it seems they will have to embrace the role of the villain in putting a stop to the story that everyone wants to come true: the Ottawa Senators coming back from a 3-0 series' deficit.

Renowned philosopher Rene Descartes stated that "Doubt is the origin of wisdom".  It would be unwise not to make adjustments after getting hammered 5-1 at home, or to act like that game didn't make you doubt your team's ability to execute the plan. Michel Therrien has admitted to making adjustments after Friday's game, but other than confirming that Pierre-Alexandre Parenteau will be returning to the lineup, he is keeping all other adjustments close to his chest. Line-rushes at the morning skate today didn't reveal what his lines would be for the start of tonight's game, but Therrien said that Parenteau's injection into the lineup will help the powerplay, which suggests he will be on one of the two powerplay units.

Michel Therrien will not go down in history as an esteemed author of human ideas, but when his task is to create a spark within a roster of players like Carey Price, Max Pacioretty, P.K. Subban, Tomas Plekanec, and Andrei Markov, inspiration seems ready-made for moments like these.

The puck drops at 6:00 PM EST. The line-ups below have been updated to game-time lineups.
