Canadiens vs Coyotes Game Thread, Lines, & TV schedule

After making their tour of California, and coming out of the Golden State with one of six points, the Habs have moved east to the Arizona desert, known also as Glendale, to take on a team that has been one of the worst in the NHL and even more so to be considered "a team of the future" after having exchanged most of its top players for draft picks at the trade deadline.

The Habs had a chance to regroup yesterday with a practice in which Michel Therrien has shifted his lines somewhat. The familiar trio of Max Pacioretty, David Desharnais, and Dale Weise will be back together on the top line, while Tomas Plekanec centers a line between Alex Galchenyuk and Brendan Gallagher.

Although this is more than likely a road-trip the Habs will want to forget, winning tonight will keep them first in the Eastern Conference and move them inches closer to the President’s Trophy race being led by the Anaheim Ducks. The Habs have not lost four games in a row this year, which is why they are in this position, atop the Eastern Conference with games in hand on those chasing them. Beaten in their last three games, the Habs do not want to leave the desert with their tails between their legs.

The puck drops at 7:00PM EST.
