Canadiens vs Panthers second period thread

The Habs and Panthers are scoreless heading into the second period.

Eric Bolte-USA TODAY Sports

The Habs give up a lot of shot attempts, 3,239 all year thus far, which puts them 26th in the league in Corsi-Against. Within the first 10 minutes, the Habs gave up 11 shot attempts to the Panthers, who are not exactly the greatest puck possession team in the league ranked 22nd in the league in CA with 2,913 through 69 games. A formula of shot-blocking and solid goaltending is needed when this is your style of play. Here's hoping that Dustin Tokarski is good for his first win since January 17.

Eventually, in fact right around the 10-minute mark, the Habs were able to get their legs going and caught up to the Panthers in terms of offensive attempts, and finished the period dead even 18-18 CF, and will start the second period on a powerplay.
