World Junior Hockey Championship schedule: December 29, 2015

Here is everything you need to know about the games on December 29.

Another light day on tap on Day Four of the World Junior Hockey Championships.

Group A Preliminary Game

1 PM ET: Canada vs Switzerland

Canada is coming off of their first win of the tournament and need another to have any realistic chance of finishing atop Group A. Mackenzie Blackwood is eligible to return from his suspension and should be expected to get the start even though Mason McDonald was better, if untested, against Denmark. Switzerland is in danger mode. They need a win against Canada or the US to avoid the relegation round and that is a tall task despite them having a pretty good roster. Once again, they fall victim to a strong group and the upstart Danes. The game will be shown on TSN 1/3/4/5 and RDS in Canada, NHL Network in the United States. It will be live streamed on TSN Go.

Group B Preliminary Game

9 AM ET: Belarus vs Russia

Russia is coming off of a huge come from behind win against the hosts Finland and are facing a team they should not have any trouble with. With back to back games, it may be the first start for Ilya Samsonov who has yet to play this tournament. For Belarus, they need to get some points against Russia and the Czech Republic in their last two games but their fate may have been sealed with their loss to Slovakia. It will be interesting to see who will start in goal as their starting goaltender Ivan Kulbakov seemed to injure himself trying to get back on the ice on the Slovakian empty net goal on Sunday. The game will be on TSN 1/3/4/5 and RDS in Canada, NHL Network in the US.
