When Carey Price went down with an injury, every Habs fan's first reaction was panic. Most years, that would have been the whole reaction, but this year there was another. A feeling of calm, and not just because the team is playing extraordinarily well, but because of the excellent play of backup Mike Condon.
Fortunately for Habs fans, Condon has stepped into the Montreal spotlight, and has filled Price's massive shoes extraordinarily well. He is 6-0-1, with a .940 Save %, and a league leading 1.57 GAA on the year.
His week's work, going 2-0-1 with a 1.66 GAA and a .934 SV% helped the Canadiens to their best start in history, and earned him NHL's third star of the week.

While the hope is that Price can get back to action as soon as possible, the Habs are in good hands with Condon.
