The Brampton Beast add Kevin Kapalka and Thomas Stajan to their roster

The Brampton Beast announced that Kevin Kapalka and Thomas Stajan have both joined the roster.

Brampton Beast

The Brampton Beast announced earlier on Thursday that the team has signed goalie Kevin Kapalka and forward Thomas Stajan to standard Player Contracts.

Stajan isn't unfamiliar with the Powerade Centre, having already played with the team for one game earlier this season. In addition, he spent time with the club in their Central Hockey League days, where he donned the Beast jersey for 13 games, while recording four assists.

Kapalka spent his four-year collegiate career playing with Lake Superior State University of the NCAA. He racked-up 111 games. In his freshman year (2010-2011), the goalie earned NCAA (CCHA) All-Rookie Team Honours as the best rookie goalie in his conference.

The Mississauga native isn't a stranger to the ECHL, having played four games with the Idaho Steelheads in the 2013-2014 season, where he posted a 3.64 GAA and a .871 save percentage.

In other news, Jimmy Sarjeant has been released from the Beast. He didn't see any action in five games.
