Canadiens vs Lightning Game Thread

The Habs are back at home to face the Lightning tonight at 7:30 PM EST/4:30 PM PST.

Jean-Yves Ahern-USA TODAY Sports

Maybe I'm just not comfortable with the amount of success the Habs are having, but the atmosphere of winning created over the last stretch of games is undeniable.

The Canadiens have defied a lot of expectations in the past couple of weeks, winning all five games on their road trip, concluding the trip with a dominant win over the Penguins extending their overall winning streak to six games. (Les bleus-blancs-et-rouges are 9-1-0 since December 9th).

Alex Galchenyuk takes on Steven Stamkos tonight, with P.K. Subban backing him up. It should be a fast and crunchy game, more tightly played than the last time these two teams met way back in the beginning of the season.

Tampa Bay likes to shoot the puck, they're 7th in the league in shots on goal, so it won't be a question of when Carey Price will have to make his presence felt on the game, but how early, and how often.

They hit the ice tonight at 7:30PM EST/4:30 PST.
