The 200th meeting between the Montreal Canadiens and Pittsburgh Penguins started off with an early goal by Max Pacioretty as Brendan "in your face" Gallagher crashed the net. According to statistics, it's game over because the Habs are 15-0-0 when scoring first. Marc-Andre Fleury may have been shaken by the goal, as he was furious by being touched in the blue paint by Gallagher. The shot he lets in from Desharnais, a low-pad slapper, may not have squeezed through without Fleury being taken off his game a little.
Pittsburgh Penguins PA Announcer John Barbero gets to announce a goal for new acquisition David Perron, Sidney Crosby assisting. Getting those two together might turn out to be the key move of the season for the Penguins.
The Habs are on their heels to end the period. A one goal lead against the Penguins isn't a lot to carry with them into the intermission. They better have some gas left in the tank for the second period and beyond, and not rest on they laurels of the last five games of this winning streak they're trying to keep going.
