Canadiens vs Rangers game thread

The Habs are in the Big Apple to take on one of the hottest teams in the league. The Rangers have been on a roll over the past 20 games, only losing 3 times.

The last time the Montreal Canadiens visited the Big Apple, things didn't go so well. The 5-0 loss was the start of a downfall that the Habs did not recover from until almost two weeks later (a 1-5-1 stretch). The circumstances for the Canadiens are very similar to what they were before that late November game at Madison Square Garden. The Habs were actually 1st in points in the NHL at the time, with 33.

How much has really changed since then? The Habs' last outing Tuesday night versus the Dallas Stars was yet another win classified as the Habs winning despite being outplayed;  outshot 42-26. The solution to the Canadiens' paradoxical play is a man between the pipes named Carey Price, who continues to defy mathematicians, and lately, has been a cause for some investigation into Copernicus' heliocentric model of the solar system, challenging the Sun for our solar system's center.

The Rangers have become one of the most dangerous teams in the conference after a mediocre start to their season. The Rangers now sit in a playoff spot, 7th in the East, and have been on a run of 17 wins and 3 losses since mid-December.

The teams hit the ice at 7:00 PM EST.
