Joey MacDonald called up due to injury to Carey Price

Don't worry, it seems like a minor tweak, but the Canadiens aren't taking any risks.

The Canadiens have announced that they've recalled goaltender Joey MacDonald from the Hamilton Bulldogs.

The reason behind the call up is an upper-body injury to star goalie Carey Price. We're not too sure if the injury is serious, but judging from Lavoie's tweet, it's a preventative measure, and not an emergency situation.

The injury probably occurred against the Blue Jackets, when Max Pacioretty shoved Matt Calvert into Price.

As every single Habs fan knows, Carey Price is the heart & soul of the team,  their outright MVP, and a leading contender for the Vezina and Hart trophies this season.  Hopefully it's just a minor issue.

We'll update you as soon as we know more on the extent of Price's injury.

Update:  Lavoie's English translation seems a little clearer
