Canadiens vs Senators second period thread

The Ottawa Senators jumped out to an early lead over the Habs who again looked like they were using the first period to get their legs going. It's rumoured the coaching staff is thinking about installing xboxes in the dressing room so the team can simulate the first period before they actually hit the ice. At this point in the season it is troubling this trend continues. Not only were the Habs outshot 11-3 by the midway point of the period, they gave the Sens plenty of confidence to start the game. Of course that confidence can all be wiped away with one Pacioretty snipe, or PK blast. But it still feels like the Habs are playing with fire with these poor first period starts.

I could give them a break for having played last night, but I'm a Habs fan.

Pacioretty's goal-scoring streak is intact. The Habs will want to come out much stronger to start the second and get a hold of this game if they want their road winning streak remain the same. Outshot 20-6 to end the period, the Habs have their work cut out for them in the second period if they're going to lend a hand to Dustin Tokarski who, aside from some rebound control issues, played a very good first period. The Sens did give up a 3-1 lead against the Dallas Stars on Tuesday, so it's not like the Habs don't have a good chance to wrestle back control of the game.
