Canadiens vs Capitals second period thread

A sleepy start to the game leaves us tied at zero after one.

Eric Bolte-USA TODAY Sports

The Habs got off to a slow start, and the result was that they were outplayed by the Capitals for the majority of the period.

The good news is that Galchenyuk looks excellent on the top line alongside Parenteau and Pacioretty. He still needs to hone his shot, but he's showing that he can hang with the big boys.

Emelin is starting to get used to playing on the left side once again, although it's definitely baby steps in his case.

Jarred Tinordi continues to struggle, and I wouldn't be surprised if he's Hamilton bound, sooner rather than later.
