Canadiens vs Rangers third period thread

Ex-Canadien Dominic Moore scores late in the second. Rangers lead Habs by 1 after two periods of play in Game 6.

Until Dominic Moore scored, there was a lot more to like about that period. Shots were about even, Habs had some decent chances, and Tokarski looked great. It's amazing how deflated you can feel when an ex-Hab gets a late-in-the-period goal in a low scoring game.

Loved that Vanek chance on Lundqvist, it seemed like the puck just floated there for an eternity, but no goal. Would have been huge. Loved that Max Pacioretty short handed chance on the Markov penalty. Didn't love that Ryan McDonagh forced him to shoot, but still a nice way to kill a penalty.

A Vanek goal early in the third period would be a tide turner at this point. In a limited role tonight, he's been good. Maybe he sensed that Minnesota contract slipping away. I kid, I kid.

The good news is that the Habs start the third period on the powerplay, bad news is that they started the second period that way too.
