Is it possible to refuse powerplays? We've seen this song and dance before from the Canadiens, so it's not a big surprise that the PP is their kryptonite or somehow turns them into the Bizarro Canadiens - "It am good to allow a goal".
The skating in this game has been great, tons of speed, very little time spent in the neutral zone, lots of breakouts. Unfortunately I'm describing the Rangers' game, not Montreal's. I kid, I kid. I wonder if the Canadiens would be improved if Beaulieu took Emelin's spot and hey, we may see that in Game 5. Definitely not how I want to see Beaulieu enter the lineup. Not sure on Emelin's status, but he didn't return to play the rest of the period. He did, I just insert errors so you'll catch'em. I'm like Astro Boy that way.
I had hoped that two days off would improved the Habs' perceived "sluggishness", but they don't seem to have shaken it off. They're solid 5 on 5, they're just looking not so solid on special teams. The game isn't out of reach, Tokarski is playing as well as he did in Game 3 - exactly what the Habs need, and the Habs are getting shots and chances. They haven't look dominating, but more importantly they haven't been dominated.
