Of course it was gonna be Rene Bourque who scored first for the Canadiens because who else right? It's funny that Habs fandom has undergone a paradigm shift from, "when is Bourque going to do something right" to "how can Bourque do wrong?" Immediately following the Bourque goal it's as if they turned the volume at the Bell Centre from 2 to 8 (it does go to 11).
In this game if you're not an underachieving forward with size who played US college hockey with a surname that starts with Bo, you're not taking penalties
8 is now twice the amount of goals that the Rangers have scored through 2 periods of play. It looked like the Habs rallied for a bit there, but with just over a minute left to play the Rangers scored two goals within 50 seconds of each other.
You're Therrien. How do you proceed with the third period?
