CBC went from a nice and thoughtful piece on P.K. Subban to P.J. Stock - like going from Dirty Work to BioDome. Cassie Campbell commented on Subban's post 1st period meeting with the coaching staff and pointed out how positive Subban seemed coming out of that meeting. Subban's opening strides of the second period seemed to suggest that he had put the first period nastiness behind him. It's mind boggling that Stock is still used an in-studio analyst by HNIC when there is a much better analyst in their employ - namely Cassie Campbell.

The majority of the second period featured a lot less scoring than the first - just Eller's marker at 4:09. What the second period featured a lot more of was rough stuff. Galchenyuk and Karlsson got into it a little bit shortly after the Eller goal, then Subban and Condra roughed each other up, following that Tinordi and Gryba - two big d-man who both seem like they're trying to prove that they're worthy of top four minutes to their respective teams - fought just after the midway point of the period and then finally Chris Neil had issues with Subban, Plekanec, Gallagher, and a ref. Chris Neil is tough (Garry Galley would agree and he's totally objective).

Max Pacioretty had what can only be described as a shootout goal - a beautiful breakaway that looked too textbook to actually be a real goal. It was Pacioretty's 7th goal in as many games and put the Habs up 5-3.
