Canadiens vs Maple Leafs second period thread

In perhaps the most insane period of the season, Brian Gionta has the Habs up by one goal heading into the second period.

Oh captain, my captain.
Oh captain, my captain.

PENALTY SUMMARY

1ST PERIOD

08:15 MTL David Desharnais Interference - 2 min against Dion Phaneuf

In a period that saw the Canadiens grab a 2 goal lead, blow it by being a bunch of idiots, then regain the lead, the craziest thing that happened (or didn't happen, rather) might have been the lack of a single penalty call against the Maple Leafs, who seemingly can't defend without getting their sticks up.

What on earth is going on?
