The Montreal Canadiens have announced that they have placed Davis Drewiske on waivers today at noon, with the intention to send him to the Hamilton Bulldogs.
Acquired last year ahead of the deadline for a 5th round pick, Drewiske has only played 9 games with the Canadiens since the trade deadline in 2013.
Davis Drewiske is not on the trip and will be put on waivers at noon. If not claimed, he will report to Hamilton

As it stands Montreal has a bit of a log jam on D, with the emergence of young defenders Jarred Tinordi and Nathan Beaulieu, Drewiske finds himself on the outside looking in.
He'll definitely benefit from some conditioning in Hamilton, and should he not get claimed Montreal will have a great insurance policy on the farm.
Update: Drewiske has gone through waivers unclaimed, and will report to the Hamilton Bulldogs.
