Canadiens vs Sabres game thread

The Habs are in Buffalo to take on the lowly Sabres after an emotional high last night, can they do what's necessary?

Kevin Hoffman-USA TODAY Sports

After the biggest emotional high the Canadiens have experienced this season occurred last night, the Canadiens are right back in action against Buffalo. The Habs haven't faced Buffalo since way back in November, before Ted Nolan took over the bench duties and turned the team of AHLers into a slightly more competitive group.

Their lineup is still depleted though, with Chris Stewart out and Matt Moulson traded to Minnesota. This game should be especially important to new Canadien Thomas Vanek, who has yet to find the back of the net with Montreal in spite of numerous chances. A goal against his former team might be the catalyst he needs.

Puck drop is at 7:00 PM EST.
