Canadiens vs Bruins Game Thread

Strange days indeed.

Michel Therrien seems to have gone off the deep end. Tonight he will ice three of the worst possession defencemen in the NHL versus the top flight Bruins.

Stable veteran Mike Weaver slots out in favour of the rust bucket known as Francis Bouillon. Bouillon will play with the reigning Norris winner despite not seeing any action since January. As per usual when he plays, expect to see Bouillon on the power play.

Alexei Emelin will continue to struggle on the right side, as he has all season, but hopefully this edition of the Markov-Emelin pairing won't get victimized for a plethora of goals, as they were last time the experiment took place.

Wet noodle Rene Bourque will be a healthy scratch, whereas Brandon Prust will play in his first game since the Olympics.

Therrien isn't the only coach making some crazy decisions, as Claude Julien has decided to scratch d-man Dougie Hamilton.

The good news is that Habs goalies tend to dominate the Bruins. Montreal will need a top notch performance from back-up Peter Budaj if they hope to leapfrog the Leafs for second in the Atlantic division.

Puck drop is at 7:30 PM EST.
