Canadiens vs Flames: Second Period Thread

New, comments

A good start by Montreal, but they didn't get enough high scoring chances.

Montreal started the period with some pep in their step, including some positive shifts for the 4th line. New comer Dale Weise looked decent, although he fumbled a couple good scoring chances. The real firecracker on that line was Ryan White, who didn't miss a beat after an injury sidelined him for 14 games.

The second half of the period was a little more even, however Montreal continued to carry the pace. Although unfortunately not a lot of shots made their way to the net.

Prust almost gave Montreal the 1-0 lead, but he was stuffed up close. Montreal won the advanced stats battle, but the war is far from over.
