Canadiens vs Canucks game thread

New, comments

Changes galore in store for the Habs. Injuries and terrible results lead to dream lines for Canadiens as they host the Canucks at home.

Jean-Yves Ahern-USA TODAY Sports

Lots of changes for the Canadiens this week, maybe not as many as say the Ottawa Senators, but a number of changes nonetheless. Alex Galchenyuk finally moves to the centre position on the top line and that's probably the biggest takeaway from the reshuffling. That alone should be enough get you excited for tonight's game.

Not good enough?

Ok. David Desharnais drops down to the third line between Michael Bournival and P.A. Parenteau. Cue a million French Connection references. Actually that is the worst, I could understand how bummed you'd be for tonight's game if you had to be subjected to that.

Andrighetto and Sekac line up on either side of Plekanec. How does that grab you? Pretty good right?

Brandon Prust and Dale Weise on the fourth line and on the wings. None of this centre stuff for Prust and none of this first line wizardry for Weise.

Finally, Nathan Beaulieu is back. It may be a limited engagement, but he's here and he's playing.

Puck drop is at 7:30 PM ET. You can watch:
