Canadiens vs Senators second period thread

New, comments

After a flukey, embarrassing goal allowed by Carey Price, the Habs rallied with a goal from Brandon Prust to even it up.

The Canadiens roared out of the gates with excellent pressure, getting a couple chances and drawing a penalty, but it was the Sens who scored first on the flukiest fluke goal to ever fluke, with Price bobbling a long shot that slipped behind him, and was tapped in by Erik Condra.

The Habs kept pushing the play though and eventually equalized on a snipe of a goal by Brandon Prust of all people, with assists going to Tom Gilbert and Jiri Sekac.

After dominating the first seven minutes, Montreal for some reason let their foot off the gas and essentially let Ottawa shoot at will the rest of the period. Someone would be wise to remind the Habs that they're playing one of the worst teams in the league.
