Canadiens vs Kings Game Thread

Coming off a convincing 3-1 win against the Canucks, the Habs stick with their new look lines against Los Angeles. Dreams of taking the Kings' crown loom in their heads.

Jean-Yves Ahern-USA TODAY Sports

As 2014 withers (and Bryan Allen suffers through the mumps), the Habs (seemingly) grow into a stronger team. Tonight they face an opponent they haven't played since the dying days of the Budaj regime. They were frozen out last year, swept by the Kings and outscored 8-1. The Kings aren't as feared as they once were, they aren't a powerhouse, but neither are the Habs. These are two teams trying to figure out whether they fit in the top 8 in their respective conferences or the bottom 8 (or as I like to call it "the last previous address of the Leafs").

Lines for the Canadiens should remain intact. Lines for the Kings should feature one less Kyle Clifford.

Habs will start Carey Price and the Kings will counter with Martin Jones. Thanks to doctorhow for the update.

As for the mumps? I had them as a kid. Allen will make it through ok. I know you were waiting for me and my medical experience to put you at ease. Well there you go watch this game relaxed.

Puck drop is at 7:30 PM ET (9 PM in Newfoundland). You can watch:
