After a thunderous hit towards the end of the first period by Cody McCormick, Michael Bournival immediately went to the locker room, clutching his shoulder.
Le CH confirme que Bournival ne reviendra pas.— Richard Labbé (@Richardlabbe) November 6, 2014
Bournival was playing in only his second game of the season, and this injury is surely frustrating for the young forward. Earlier this year, Bournival spent some time with the Hamilton Bulldogs, where he put up four points in four games.
The injury put an end to the intriguing line of Bournival-Eller-Sekac, which up to this point had created a few scoring chances.
This is the first possible long-term injury for the Canadiens this season, who thus far had escaped the injury bug. Mike Weaver, who missed the game against the Sabres due to a virus, was the first non-healthy scratch of the season.

As it stands, the Habs don't need to call anyone up to fill the void, as both Travis Moen and Rene Bourque can slot back into the lineup.
