Nikita Scherbak update from the hospital via Silvertips broadcast: Head and neck have been cleared. Reports are positive.

Thanks to Nick Patterson of the Everett Herald, we have a bit of an update on Canadiens prospect Nikita Scherback, who was stretchered off the ice tonight in a game between the Everett Silvertips and Seattle Thunderbirds.
Scherbak was going for a loose puck and leaned forward when he was hit awkwardly by a player for the Thunderbirds, and went down in a heap.

Scherbak was stretchered off with his neck in a brace and taken to hospital, but since then it has been reported that his head and neck have passed initial tests, so we can relax and exhale a little bit, Scherbak will be okay.
You have to give credit to Seattle and Everett's medical staffs, who were on the ball and cautious to make sure no possible further injury could be suffered.
We'll keep you updated on Scherbak's progress.
