Why did the Canadiens just gift Beau Bennett a season's worth of points in one game? It just feels like the country bumpkin Canadiens have been hustled in a game by a group of street wise hockey players.
And in case you thought it was just Pittsburgh's bottom six that was giving the Canadiens fits, Hornqvist, Malkin, and Crosby team up on a power play goal with just over 30 seconds left to play in the period and one of the Habs' best players in the sin bin. It's not a wonderful night to be wearing the CH.
Jason York makes a terribly dated Mike Tyson/Hangover joke, so the commentary hasn't gotten any better and neither have the Habs. York also points out that the mere presence of Sergei Gonchar has improved the Habs' powerplay. He's not one with the force York. Not an awful game, but certainly not a particularly engaging one and the broadcasting team certainly doesn't help.
On the bright side (and I know they don't matter much this season), the Leafs are losing 3-0 4-0 to Toronto Nashville.
