Here are your daily links, including the final results of the goalie situation, Parenteau eager for his fresh start in his hometown, PK Subban's preseason domination, and more.

  • P.K. Subban appeared on the Tout le Monde En Parle last night, dropping several bombs, such as his propensity to fart in front of the crease to distract attackers, and that he'll be buying an executive box at the Bell Centre for kids to watch the game. Watch the whole interview here:
  • The goalie debacle is now over, the Canadiens have chosen Dustin Tokarski as the backup for Carey Price and shipped a key component in the Habs dressing room, Peter Budaj, to the Winnipeg Jets, along with prospect Patrick Holland (who was previously acquired from Calgary in the Michael Cammalleri/Rene Bourque trade) for mammoth forward Eric Tangradi. Apparently, Budaj had asked GM Marc Bergevin for a trade after he was passed over in the playoffs when Price got hurt and I can't say I blame the guy. Good luck Peter, you were a great and classy player throughout the last three years. [CBC]
  • If you missed the final preseason game for the Habs against the Senators on Saturday night, well then, you missed the "Subban Show". [Montreal Gazette]
  • So with the new $800k savings that the Habs have just pocketed with the departure of Peter Budaj, what will they spend it on? I have a feeling RDS might be right in this article. [RDS] (French)
  • Habs' forward PA Parenteau is really excited to get a fresh start in his hometown. Coming off an injury-riddled season in Colorado, he's eager to contribute in Montreal no matter what line he's on. [Canadiens]
  • Get to know Eric Tangradi and see what we should expect from him as a Hab. Our own Scott Matla gives us the scoop. [EOTP]
  • Outside of Montreal

    • Bob McKenzie released a sample tease of his new book "Hockey Confidential", where he talked to stats pioneer Vic Ferrari about how Corsi got it's name. It's way more interesting than the story we've been told until now. [TSN]
    • Things are really really not looking good for the Carolina Hurricanes. Jordan Staal and Elias Lindholm were both hurt coming into the final preseason game on Sunday against the Capitals. The Hurricanes can now add top-line winger Jeff Skinner to that list. [NHL]
    • Big youth movement in Edmonton (as if there already wasn't!), third overall pick in the 2014 Draft, Leon Draisaitl, and seventh overall pick in the 2013 Draft, Darnell Nurse, have both made the Oilers starting roster. [TSN]
    • Highly-touted prospect Connor McDavid has a very interesting fashion sense. I wonder if Don Cherry has been tutoring him. [Puck Daddy]
    • With the Islanders bolstering their blueline big time on Saturday with the acquisitions of Stanley Cup winner's Nick Leddy from Chicago and Johnny Boychuk from Boston, are they a playoff team? See the reaction from the Islanders world right here. [Lighthouse Hockey]
    • See what GM Peter Chiarelli had to say about trading Johnny Boychuk. They definitely didn't want to, but Jarome Iginla forced them to it seems. [NHL]
