Canadiens vs Senators game thread

After yesterday's fiasco we don't know what to expect tonight, although the Habs should be hungry for a win.

USA TODAY Sports

Things got ugly yesterday, as the bottom feeder Senators went after the Habs stars. This shouldn't be surprising for a team that put a letter on Chris Neil's jersey, that's just the kind of franchise they want to be. As pathetic as it was, it's definitely no reason to panic, as you should never make roster changes to deal with a lowly franchise like the Senators. Modeling yourself after a riffraff team is about as naive as it comes.

That being said, we might be in for some more fireworks tonight, as the two teams meet again for a second time in 24 hours.

Carey Price gets the start for the Habs, and there aren't many roster changes for the Canadiens. Brandon Prust, Andrei Markov and Mike Weaver draw in, whereas Christian Thomas, Jarred Tinordi and Travis Moen draw out. Lars Eller seems to be still nursing a lower-body injury.

Chris Neil, who went after noted tough guy Max Pacioretty last night, won't be making the trip, which is good news for Montreal, since the average IQ of the city won't be lowered by several points during his visit.

Puck drop is at 7:00 EST, at the Bell Centre.

The game will be carried on TV by RDS & TSN5.
