If John Mitchell ever played for the Canadiens, we might have a storyline. Habs get terribly unlucky and a lil stupid on the Tanguay goal (I feel like we've seen him score more already this year, than he ever did wearing the CH), then get a little unlucky and lil stupid on the Pacioretty breakaway (sure Pickard stopped it, but Pacioretty gave him a lot of help), and finally they get lucky on that wide open side during that Avalanche PP. I'm not saying Andee was the cause of all that bad luck, but she's not so good.
I'm just glad this isn't a playoff series otherwise you'd see a bunch of shirts in Denver and on threadless with Pickard's face and the text underneath would read, "Make it so!"
This certainly has the feel of a game that could break wide open, really like the way the Canadiens played in the last 8 or so minutes. Bodes well going into the second.
First goal - any thoughts? I'm going off the board - Manny Malhotra.
