Montreal won the first meeting of the eternal rivals 2-1. However they've definitely hit a rough patch ever since. Boston on the other hand is playing quite well and have gone 6-3-1 in their last 10, including their current 4 game winning streak.

The last 14 of 16 games these clubs have played against each other have resulted in a one goal game. The other two games included an empty net goal.

Louis Leblanc was sent back to Hamilton a couple days ago, and there were rumours that Christian Thomas would be called up, however he was not. He also stayed behind in Hamilton instead of joining the Bulldogs for a road-trip, which definitely makes it sound like there are some impending roster moves.

Peter Budaj gets the start for Montreal, and Tuukka Rask who has struggled versus the Habs will get the start for the bad guys.

Puck drop is at 7:00 PM at the TD Garden.
