Captain Brian Gionta got the Habs on the board with his first of the year, a vintage goal mouth rebound tap in.
The Habs dodged a bullet as one of the officials thought Carey Price had the puck off of a faceoff and blew the whistle a second before the Flyers put the loose puck into the net, although to be honest, the play wouldn't have happened in the first place if the linesman would just drop the puck and do his job.
I was on this a lot last year, but the amount the Habs, and specifically Plekanec, get waved out of the faceoff circle is absurd. Plekanec was waved five times against Toronto, and the Habs have been waved out three times already tonight. The danger is there for it to bite them, they got very lucky.
