The Montreal Canadiens have announced via twitter that they have sent Jarred Tinordi to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL.
Tinordi, who had been struggling to keep pace lately, will add some much needed strength to the back-end in Hamilton. He will continue to polish his game as he looks to improve his positioning, and as per coach Michel Therrien's request, his intensity level. Tinordi's ice time saw a regular decrease in recent games, including being a healthy scratch versus the Oilers on Tuesday.
#Habs Therrien says management wants Tinordi to get significant playing time; Hamilton has 3 games this weekend. Hence the assignment.

This means that Nathan Beaulieu should be in the lineup for the foreseeable future, as well as the struggling Raphael Diaz , due to the salary cap situation. Montreal currently has no cap space available, however they will receive some cap relief in the form of LTIR bonuses. We will probably see Tinordi called up in the near future, as GM Marc Bergevin attempts to navigate his delicate salary cap situation.
Tinordi played 6 games with the Canadiens this year, registering 9 penalty minutes, 8 hits and 6 blocked shots, while receiving on average 12:27 of ice time per game. He was a healthy scratch on three separate occasions.
