There's been plenty of moving around for top prospect Nathan Beaulieu over the last few days. After spending some time with the Montreal Canadiens during training camp, Beaulieu was cut on September 26th and sent down to the Hamilton Bulldogs.
Beaulieu was called back up by Montreal on October 1st, only to be sent back down to Hamilton today.
The @CanadiensMTL have assigned D Nathan Beaulieu to #HamOnt @BulldogsAHL.

The most likely reason for the move is for the Canadiens to save cap space, as well as getting Beaulieu in game action. There isn't a Habs game until Saturday, but the Bulldogs' preseason is underway.
Beaulieu, ranked 6th on EOTP's Top 25 Under 25, will give Hamilton a much-needed boost on defence, with defenceman Jarred Tinordi up with the Canadiens.
