PENALTY SUMMARY

1ST PERIOD

12:01 FLA BRIAN CAMPBELL : HOLDING - 2 MIN (RENE BOURQUE)

12:21 FLA STEPHEN WEISS : DELAYING GAME - SMOTHERING PUCK - 2 MIN

17:49 MTL JOSH GORGES : TRIPPING - 2 MIN (GEORGE PARROS)

Who would have guessed that would happen?

Tomas Plekanec scored off of a great feed from Brian Gionta with Alex Kovalev lazily backchecking (remember that?). Oddly enough, as pointed out by Stephan Cooper, Gionta, Plekanec, and Raphael Diaz were all in on the team's first two goals of the season.

Then Andrei Markov scores for the first time in two years, on a 5-on-3 powerplay, every single player on the Canadiens looked good.

Most impressive perhaps was the rejuvenated Rene Bourque, who looked like Erik Cole while driving the net and causing Brian Campbell to take a penalty.

Let's have 40 more minutes of that, shall we?
