Overseas Habs & Prospects Weekly Report 13

Unlucky 13 is a little bit late. I apologize for that, but getting set for the world juniors has been a lot of work.

Name League Team Timeline Games Goals Assists Points
Tomas Plekanec Czech Extraliga Kladno Last Week 3 1 3 4

Plekanec is still wracking up the points alongside Jaromir Jagr. Also in case you didn't know, he's a lot better than David Krejci, who has just 27 points, and sucks because he's a Bruin.

Vail isn't scoring goals as often as early in the season, but the Spitfires just acquired some major talent at the OHL trading deadline, so that could change soon. We can't really be disappointed in Vail's offensive production considering that he's projected as a checking line forward. If anything that he's pushing a point per game is a nice plus.

Hudon had a really disappointing week, but not because of his play. He assisted on Canada's opening goal of the preliminary games for the World Juniors, only to be sidelined from the tournament with a back injury. Hudon has another year of eligibility next year, but making the team this year and then losing the opportunity is a bitter disappointment.
