1939: Cy Wentworth had a goal and two assists in the first four minutes of the game, then added another assist in an 8-2 win over the visiting Chicago Black Hawks.

1949: Maurice Richard scored twice in the Canadiens' 3-3 tie with the Boston Bruins.

1955: Jean Beliveau scored four goals, including 3 during one power play in a span of :44 in the second period. Canadiens won the game, 4-2 over Boston. Bert Olmstead recorded three assists in in 44 second span (the second fastest three assists in NHL history). After the season, the NHL changed the rules to end a minor power play after a goal was scored.

1966: Gump Worsley became the 8th NHL goaltender to record 250 career victories as the Canadiens won 3-1 over the Detroit Red Wings. Bobby Rousseau led the scoring with a goal and two assists.

1979: Michel Larocque recorded his 14th career shutout and Guy Lafleur scored twice as the Canadiens won 2-0 over the Washington Capitals. The win improved the Canadiens' all-time record against Washington to 34-0-2.

1985: Bobby Smith scored his 200th career NHL goal and added an assist as the Canadiens won 8-3 over the Hartford Whalers.

1988: Mats Naslund picked up three assists to record his 500th NHL career point, all with the Canadiens, as Montreal won 7-2 over the visiting Winnipeg Jets. Guy Carbonneau added two goals and two assists.
