It was a rocky road to get there, but the host Russians are one win away from battling for gold.
For Montreal Canadiens fans, we finally get our first look at Sebastian Collberg in HD, as this is the first time we'll be able to see Sweden play on TSN. Collberg is tied for the lead in points on the Swiss team with 3 others at 5 points. Collberg's 3 goals have all come on the powerplay.
Sweden absolutely dominated their group in round robin play, but didn't get much shooting luck. Unluckily for Sweden, they'll be going up against the tournament's top goaltenders, so they may not get much regression there.
Russia is looking at a strong offensive game from Mikhail Grigorenko as perhaps a sign of things to come. They escaped a match against the Swiss despite being outplayed, but that likely won't cut it against the Swedes.
Andrei Vasilevski will have to be brilliant to get past the puck possessing Swedes. The winner will play Canada for gold.
Game time is 8:00AM EST on TSN.
