Hudon will look to take over where Brendan Gallagher left off. - Richard Wolowicz
Canada faces it's first pre-tournament game today in Finland bright and early. Hudon looks to take over where Brendan Gallagher, Michael Bournival and Nathan Beaulieu left off, representing the Habs for Team Canada.
Good morning Canada, are you ready for pre-tournament World Juniors action?
These are the games where Canada will figure out what lines work and which ones don't. They may also be looking for a starting goaltender among the three they've taken after the expected starter, Malcolm Subban, had a rough camp.
We had some prospective lines worked up when the team was named, but who knows what we'll actually see today. Charles Hudon reportedly wasn't on the second line in Team Canada's practices this week, but hopefully he gets back up there by the tournament's start.
The focus today will be getting things like the powerplay to click, and building some chemistry. It should be a fun tilt, so let's get on with it. Watch the game live on TSN starting at 9:30AM EST.
