He's a pretty special player. He makes the players around him much better. But once he walks out the door, he's a part of the Florida Panthers as far as I'm concerned. The longer he stays there, the better for him. If he can make that hockey club, I'll be the happiest guy in the world for him. We're not going to base everything on one individual. If he comes back I'm sure we'll find a way to get him back in the lineup (laughs).

Word is that one of Pitlick’s main reasons for moving on was that he didn’t particularly like the college part of college hockey.
